Lumina Hosting offers two levels of support for all dedicated hosting plans: core-managed and cPanel relevant support. All dedicated servers come with core-managed support, and if you have chosen to purchase cPanel through us, we offer additional support options relevant to cPanel.
There are several ways to access your hosting server: (1) SSH - you can access your dedicated server through any SSH client using the root credentials we provide you (2) cPanel - if you have chosen to purchase cPanel from us, you can access and manage your server through the cPanel/WHM control panel (3) dedicated server control panel - you can also perform frequent operations, such as stopping, starting and restarting your server through our web-based control panel, which comes bundled with every dedicated server hosting order.
You may notice that the managed server page has many more features listed. This is because cPanel/WHM is included and already setup for you. You can obtain the same features in an unmanaged server by adding the cPanel addon or having your IT staff setup alternative software to gain your desired features. In addition... with a managed server, Lumina Hosting support will be constantly monitoring for problems, preforming security updates, and keeping your server's operating system running as intended. Unmanaged servers are solely in your control and it is the duty of your IT staff to update and monitor. That being said, all hardware issues will be monitored and repaired by Lumina Hosting regardless of server type.
